Voicemails in.
Clinical tasks out.
Your team stays in the EHR.
Switchboard turns voicemail into an EHR task, then handles routine patient follow-up once your team has processed it.
Coming Q4 2026
You work your EHR’s task list.
We’ll work the phones.
No one needs to monitor the voicemail inbox to get tasks moving. Your team reviews and processes the task in its usual EHR workflow.

Your clinical team
Work your usual task list.

From a voicemail
to your EHR task list.
Switchboard does the listening, transcription, and routing. The refill arrives as a structured task for your clinical team to review.
Patient, medication, pharmacy, and the reason for the call—organized so your team can get straight to the clinical work.
Each voicemail includes a transcription-confidence indicator and a link to the original recording and full transcript, so your team can review the source while working the task.

A few things to know.
Switchboard is coming Q4 2026. Here are some answers to common questions.
Could Switchboard be a good fit for your practice? Let’s talk about your workflow and where your team needs a hand.
Talk about your practiceWhen will Switchboard be available?
Switchboard is currently in development, with initial system availability planned for late 2026.
Does my team need to monitor another inbox?
No, and that’s the whole point. Switchboard is designed to give your team fewer places to monitor. Your team works its existing EHR task list while Switchboard monitors incoming voicemail, creates the clinical tasks, and handles eligible follow-up after those tasks are completed. Your team handles the clinical work and any conversation that needs their judgment.
Will Switchboard work with our phone system?
Switchboard is built to work with most major phone systems and contact centers—on-premises, cloud, or hybrid. That includes platforms from Cisco, Avaya, and Mitel, as well as RingCentral, Microsoft Teams Phone, and Zoom Phone. We’ll help connect the system your practice already uses.
Can Switchboard provide a dedicated phone line?
Yes. If you’d rather set up Switchboard on a new phone line instead of one you already have, you can do that in just a few clicks.
Which EHRs will it support?
Switchboard will launch with support for Altera TouchWorks EHR, OpenEMR, and Veradigm Pro EHR. After launch, we plan to expand to additional EHRs, including Epic, athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks. Development priorities and timing will be shaped by practice needs and integration opportunities.
Does Switchboard replace clinical judgment?
No. Your care team reviews the task and makes the clinical decision in the EHR. Switchboard handles voicemail intake and follow-up that can be automated.
